Near the Bellevue Hotel there is a maintained wooded learning trail named after the forestry engineer Rozika Devebec-Lesjak. This circular trail through the woods is 3 km long. The first point along the learning trail is the church of St. Wolfgang, which was established in the early sixteenth century. Originally the church was built in late Gothic architectural style and was roofed with shingles; later, slate tiles were used. The foundation was made of uncut stone. In 1785 the church was closed and in 1950 it burned down, after which it lay in ruins for many years. Renovations were begun in 1971 but only completed in 2005, from which time it has served as a museum. There are two giant trees right by the church. A large beech tree grows in the meadow, and north of the church there is a 14-meter tall chestnut tree with a circumference of 408 cm. It is the largest chestnut tree growing on Pohorje. The learning trail winds through the woods to the lookout tower, from which you can see all of Pohorje and far across the Alps on clear days.
